En el sistema tradicional de educación la enseñanza por emprender es prácticamente nula, aunque cada vez el auge por emprender, abrir tu negocio y ser independiente a un jefe es mayor las universidades no se han ocupado en incorporar a su plan de estudios un programa de emprendimiento.

Entonces ¿qué es lo que pasa? Salimos y vamos a la calle a emprender si un conocimiento mínimo de cómo empezar, que hacer y sobre todo como reducir esa brecha al fracaso. Porque si bien sabemos 4 de cada 5 negocios fracasan antes del segundo año de haber comenzado.

Si eres estudiante aún y estas inquieto por abrir tu propio negocio, te recomiendo varias cosas que debes hacer mientras llevas a cabo tus estudios. Muchos de los grandes empresarios dejaron sus estudios para comenzar su negocio, sin embargo yo recomiendo terminarlos, ya que es una etapa que debes concluir y además las bases que te esta sentando un estudio son enormes, mas allá del titulo.

Aprovecha tu tiempo, en esta época veo a muchos estudiantes que pasan sus tiempos libres desperdiciándolos en video juegos, televisión, diversión y otras cosas pocas productivas, no digo que este mal divertirte, pero que sea con medida y después de haber hecho algo por tu carrera de emprendedor.

Le llamo carrera de emprendedor porque también requiere preparación, poner un negocio y volverte empresario no sucede solo por abrir tu empresa, sino por hacerla rentable y sostenible. La preparación es básica para cualquier cosa y el abrir tu negocio no es la excepción.

Te recomiendo prepararte de la siguiente manera, entrando a la cancha, es decir aprender a manejar un negocio y esto solamente lo vas a encontrar trabajando, busca un trabajo de medio tiempo que te permita conocer como administrar un negocio y como hacerlo rentable, ejemplo: Una cafetería, si consigues trabajo en una cafetería podrás aprender a atender a los clientes, vender, cuidar la imagen del lugar, administrar insumos, atención a los proveedores y sobre todo a solucionar problemas.

Por simple que parezca una cafetería tiene toda una logística he inversión para hacer posible el logro de los objetivos de la misma, pero puede ser cualquier otro lugar o giro. Va depender de ti que provecho le sacas, consiguiendo un trabajo lo primero es conocer tus funciones y después como puedes mejorar ese desempeño promedio que cualquiera puede desarrollar, logrando eso estas dando un paso en la carrera del emprendimiento.

No es mentira que muchos comenzamos desde abajo, literal, y esa enseñanza es una de las mas valiosas por dos cosas, nadie te cuenta como hacer algo cuando estés liderando un equipo, porque ya pasaste por ahí y no solo pasaste lograste mejorar el puesto con tu iniciativa. La otra razón es porque te enseña a valorar, no es fácil construir un negocio comenzando desde cero, comenzar así te enseñara y te ayudara a que valores el esfuerzo y dedicación que un negocio requiere.

¿Qué te impide conseguir un trabajo de fin de semana o medio tiempo? Nada, realmente nada, tienes tareas, exámenes, trabajos, etc. Pero eso va a salir con o sin trabajo y el llevar la carga de la escuela y del trabajo también es una prueba, al abrir tu negocio vas a llevar cargas aun mas pesadas que eso, así que es parte de la preparación.

Podrás pensar que es irónico, ser empleado antes de emprender, pero es parte del camino para poder dar el salto, ya que aunque seas empelado de ti depende estar observando todo y proponiendo a tus compañeros y jefes cambios que permitan mejorar la empresa.

Una vez que hayas conseguido experiencia de ese tipo, que hayas tenido contacto con las tres áreas principales de una empresa Administración, Operación y Comercialización, puedes comenzar a planear tu siguiente paso. Lo que te sugiero es que identifiques cual es tu pasión, eso que puedes pasar horas haciendo sin que te pese y de ahí puede surgir tu idea de negocio.
